Cashews are a good source of copper, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc which are required for bone building. Rich in Manganese they assist the body in maintaining healthy bone structure by helping in making enzymes needed to build strong bones. Cashew Nuts are also rich in Phosphorus which helps build bones.
As well as the nut and fruit, the plant has several other uses. The shell of the cashew seed yields derivatives that can be used in many applications including lubricants, waterproofing, paints, and, starting in World War II, arms production.
Cashews are an excellent source of dietary fats. These fats are required by the body to absorb nutrients such as fat-soluble vitamin A, D, E, and K, along with essential fatty acids that help with brain development and prevent blood clotting.
